WAF Skatepark Rules & Regulations

1. General Conduct

  • Respect all skaters, staff, and visitors. Discrimination, harassment, or bullying will not be tolerated.
  • No fighting, aggressive behavior, or intentional damage to park property.
  • Keep noise levels reasonable, especially during non-event hours.
  • No smoking, drug use, or alcohol consumption within the park.

2. Safety Guidelines

  • Helmets are recommended for all skaters; protective gear (knee and elbow pads) is encouraged.
  • No reckless skating or tricks that endanger others.
  • Report injuries immediately to park staff.
  • Beginners should use designated beginner-friendly areas.

3. Facility Usage

  • The park is for skateboarding, rollerblading, and BMX (if permitted during specific sessions).
  • Respect scheduled events, training sessions, and priority times for different groups.
  • No littering—use trash bins provided. Keep the park clean.
  • Unauthorized graffiti, tagging, or vandalism is prohibited.

4. Community & Inclusivity

  • Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level or background.
  • Be mindful of others. Do not monopolize obstacles or skate sections.
  • Offer help and encouragement to younger or beginner skaters.

5. Events & Competitions

  • Only authorized events and competitions are allowed.
  • Filming or commercial activities require prior approval.
  • All participants in competitions must sign waivers.

6. Liability & Enforcement

  • Skate at your own risk. WAF Skatepark is not responsible for injuries or lost/stolen items.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for minors.
  • Violation of rules may result in warnings, suspension, or a ban from the park.

WAF Skatepark Punishments & Consequences

To maintain safety and order, violations of park rules will result in the following consequences:

1. Minor Offenses (First-Time Warnings & Light Violations)

  • Examples: Littering, excessive noise, minor disruption of other skaters.
  • Consequence: Verbal warning from staff. Repeated offenses may lead to temporary suspension.

2. Moderate Offenses (Temporary Suspensions)

  • Examples: Ignoring safety rules, reckless skating that endangers others, disrespecting staff, minor vandalism.
  • Consequence:
  • First offense: 24-hour suspension from the park.
  • Second offense: One-week suspension.
  • Third offense: One-month suspension.

3. Major Offenses (Permanent or Long-Term Bans)

  • Examples: Fighting, harassment, theft, drug or alcohol use in the park, intentional destruction of property, serious safety violations.
  • Consequence:
  • Immediate removal from the park.
  • Possible permanent ban depending on the severity.
  • Police involvement if necessary.

4. Vandalism & Property Damage

  • Examples: Graffiti, damaging obstacles, breaking park property.
  • Consequence:
  • Must cover repair costs.
  • Potential suspension or permanent ban.
  • Possible legal action if damages are severe.

5. Trespassing & Unauthorized Use

  • Examples: Entering the park after hours, using it for unauthorized events or commercial activities.
  • Consequence:
  • Immediate removal.
  • Possible ban depending on severity.
  • Legal action if trespassing continues.

Appeals & Second Chances

For serious offenses leading to long-term bans, individuals may submit a written request for reconsideration after a period determined by the park administration. However, repeat offenders may not be eligible.
