The term "heritage" is frequently used, yet few people truly own it. One of the exceptions is Dakotas, a mainstay of South African culture for more than 40 years. When the company was first established in 1980, its goal was to provide the best shoe that could be for the intended usage. With no attribute undermining another, Dakotas has successfully sustained throughout the years its hard-earned reputation for quality, comfort, durability, and style. They have come to represent a contemporary, yet tradition-conscious element of South African style.
waf. collaborated with Dakotas to produce what will be our first shoe. The shoes serve as iterations of Dakotas’ classic Hi-Shine moccasins coupled with merino wool socks. The four color choices for the handcrafted South African shoes are black, brown, indigo blue, and forest green.
